Job Description
12 Month Fixed Term Contract available for a Planner, within the Operations Department of a Chemical Manufacturing company. Based in KZN. A qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics, and advanced knowledge and experience in production, scheduling, demand planning, inventory management and constraint principles required.
Requirements:
- BCom/Similar Supply Chain/Logistics
- Minimum 5 years in Planning
- SAP experience essential
- Drivers License essential
- Advanced computer Literacy
- Advanced Knowledge of ERP systems
- Current legislation knowledge (Incoterms and HTS)
- Production, scheduling, demand planning, Inventor Management experience advanced
- Negotiation, conflict management and communication skills advanced
- Solid financial management principles, strategy implementation, inventory costing methodologies and principles
Duties:
- Lead, direct and manage the Planning Team in accordance with Supply Chain strategy
- Ensure processes comply with SHERQ and legal requirements
- Ensure Planning function is aligned with Code of Ethics
- Determine and manage raw material planning
- Manage and coordinate direct Purchase for Resale
- Facilitate Order Status workgroup
- Ensure customers receive orders on time
- Analyze and report re demand plan, risks and opportunities
- Co-ordinate cross functional teams (Finance, supply chain and demand planning)
- Analyze forecasts and sales orders
- Manage constraints
- Set up and control master data control process
- Manage imported material status, costing and documentation
- Manage and implement continuous improvements
