She has extensive laboratory experience in the mining and chemical industries. She is currently Head of Department Anglo Gold for a laboratory services company responsible for the management of ISO 17025, risk assessments, staff management and customer service.
She says:I have 16 years experience in the laboratory with the following techniques, Chromatography, Wet Chemistry, Gravimetric, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, XRF (Axios and PW1400 models), Fire Assay with Gravimetric and AA or ICP Finish. I am currently running the Fire Assay laboratory with 49 staff members. I am a technical signatory for the XRF techniques i.e. Borate Fusion, Pyro Fusion and the Pressed Pellets for Uranium as well as for the Gold Analysis Gravimetric Finish. I am very familiar with ISO17025 as we are a testing laboratory.
